5 summers left
5 summers left is a game I made for a game jam in 2012. The Experimental Gamepay project hosted a jam with the theme ‘Temperature‘. The idea was to come up with neat gameplay mechanics and build a game in 7 days.

I created this little 2D platformer in which you have to collect all sunflowers and snowflakes and reach the end of the level. You can switch between seasons (summer and winter). Sunflowers can only be collected during summer, and snowflakes only during winter. Also some places are only reachable in the right season. Be aware: you only have 5 summers!
The mechanics of the game work, but the controls are not the greatest, and my level design skills were terrible at that time. But I did finish a game in a week. So that counts as a finished product.
While working on that game I blogged about it at https://micuurloon.wordpress.com/.
The game was developed using Haxe and Flixel as the game framework and resulted in a Flash game. It is still playable online here. It is a Flash game, so you probably need to activate Flash in your browser, because Flash is disabled by default in most browsers.
